we were tearing each other apart, becoming more and more
distant from one another, and making our children’s lives
miserable.
Conventional marital therapy seemed to be doing us more harm
than good - each session seemed only to dredge up more and
more ugly incidents from the past, the memories stinging like
fresh wounds, and yet this therapy offered no resolution, no
method of healing. In fact, after one of these therapy
sessions, I decided to leave my husband for good.
But what about our children? Didn’t they count? Was I to make
them choose between parents? Hadn’t our arguing caused them
enough pain already? At this point my husband was ready to do
anything to fix our marriage, and even though I felt very
hurt and unhappy with my own situation, I knew I had to go
along with his idea of fixing our problems.
Obviously, doctors, medications and conventional therapy had
not helped us, so my husband started to look elsewhere for
answers. After long hours of searching the internet, he
learned of Mr. Quigley’s innovative hypnotherapeutic
techniques, I immediately knew that we must try to seek his
help. We both felt very fortunate to learn that one of his
Empowerment Intensive therapy sessions was scheduled to take
place in our area on the following weekend.
My daughter’s birthday was coming up, and with many tears in
my eyes I said to her: “Sweetheart, the best present that I
can give you for your 16th birthday is to give you a new
life, a new start and a happy home”.
On the following Friday morning we met David for the first
time. We had never been through any similar therapeutic
sessions before, and did not know what to expect. All we knew
it was that we were ready for anything; as we had committed
ourselves to give our full energy and attention to whatever
the weekend had in store. We all got together at 9 o’clock,
there were nine persons in our group, including David.
For a moment I was expecting a time of lecture and judgment,
a time when we would be torn to pieces for not being good to
each other, a fire and brimstone sermon. Instead we started
with a beautiful chanting, holding hands and singing
together. What followed I would have never expected, it was a
most amazing weekend - three days of intensely powerful work
with strangers that had suddenly become trusted friends, with
the whole of the group being actively involved in the drama
that unfolded as each participant in turn faced the issues
that he or she needed to address, the result being that each
member’s work had a profound impact on all members of the
group.
At last I could see why I was so angry and vicious I had
become ever since my childhood, I previously had no idea that
the memory of one event had caused me so much pain, so much
hate, resentment and anger throughout my life, a memory in
which I was not the victim, but the witness and the observer.
It related to my two older brothers being viciously beaten
with a rope by my grandaunt. I watched and cried in
hopelessness, seeing my brothers getting hurt by this woman.
Then with the group’s help, we stepped in and rescued both of
my brothers in an act of courage, joy, and resolution.
During this weekend with David I began to realize that I had
been throwing all of this misplaced anger into my
relationship with my husband, never understanding what the
true roots of my pain, fear and frustration were.
I soon learned why David call his process “Alchemical
Hypnotherapy”: Like many techniques found in conventional
therapeutic methods, it helps to root out and uncover hidden
core issues that may have been negatively influencing us for
years, but unlike conventional methods, which are successful
in exposing old traumas, but do little or nothing to heal the
pain, David’s “Alchemical Hypnotherapy” has the magical
effect of turning psychological lead into gold, by helping
participants to create positive “memories”: mental images
that serve to cancel out the traumas that were the source of
so much unhappiness and pain.
Once we discovered and dealt with many of our core issues in
that workshop, my husband and I were able finally to move on,
and have since enjoyed a love and closeness greater than we
had ever experienced in our eighteen years of marriage. For
that we both thank David Quigley, for giving us our lives
back. I can’t even begin to tell you of the magnificence of
“Alchemical Hypnotherapy”, and all of the benefits we have
enjoyed; I can only tell you that I am most grateful and
impressed by this program, and that I personally recommend it
to everyone.
I would like to share a story told by one of the participants
in David’s Empowerment Weekend:
A man was babysitting an energetic five-year-old boy, and was
hoping to find a distraction that would keep him occupied for
a while. The man soon found a map of the world printed on a
magazine page. The man tore the page out, and proceeded to
cut it into small pieces - a sort of homemade jigsaw puzzle.
He then placed the pieces in a bowl, and gave them to the
boy, along with a roll of transparent tape. “See if you can
put this map back together”, he told the boy.
Much to his amazement, the boy returned only a few minutes
later with the world map completely reassembled, every piece
in its proper place.
“How did you do that so quickly?” the man asked.
“Easy,” said the boy, “there was a picture of a man’s face on
the other side of the page. I just put the man together, and
the world came together all by itself”.
What a wise and profound response: “Fix the man to fix the
world”.
Ladies and Gentleman this is our challenge: The problems that
face the world at large are merely magnified reflections of
the problems that each of us face as individuals in our
interpersonal relationships. A pyramid cannot be built from
the top down, so to solve the world’s problems, we must first
address the fundamental problems inherent in each and every
human being.
Fix the man, and a world of love, compassion, peace and
understanding will evolve of its own accord. I hope you will
take this message to the entire world, how important it is to
be at peace with us to be at peace with everyone else.

Showing Your Appreciation - How To Make Others Feel Special
Two of my favorite shows on TV revolve around decorating a room in someone’s house. I enjoy the shows because I learn fun, creative, and inexpensive ways to decorate but the main reason I like the shows is the whole premise behind them. In both shows, someone - spouse, parent, sibling, or friend, wants to show their appreciation for the person whose room is being redecorated by surprising them with a new design. The person on the receiving end has typically been under some type of pressure or stress or has gone out of their way to help others and deserves some special treatment. In the shows the homeowner leaves for the day or weekend without any clue that a total redesign is taking place at their home. While they are gone, a design team, working furiously with family and friends, gives them a beautiful new room. When the person returns, they walk into their house and get ’surprised’ by the design team and their family and friends. There are many tears of astonishment and joy as they realize how loved they are - that someone would go to so much trouble for them. And there are tears on both sides as the leader of the project shares why they wanted to do this for their loved one and why they appreciate the other person. It is a very moving moment with hugs, praise, and gratitude. This is the part of the show that really touches me.
Is there someone in your life right now that needs a show of appreciation? Maybe a spouse, parent, sibling, child, friend or coworker? Who would benefit, (besides yourself), if you reached out with love? You don’t have to remodel a room! Just the fact that you reached out will mean more to the person than what you do. You could show support and caring with a phone call, a card, an evening out, a home cooked meal, time set aside to just listen, give them a break from their routine or a helping hand. Use your wonderful imagination or borrow from others to come up with a show of appreciation for someone close to you.
Now… who needs your special touch? Over the next week, select one person to reach out to. Decide how you want to show your appreciation and follow through. Just think how good you will feel when you see the surprised look and happy smile on their face! You both will enjoy the outcome!

Why invest in North Cyprus property? What distinguishes the property market there against more traditional locations for people to make investments in rental property, places like, for example, the well established tourist hotspots of South France or the Costa del Sol? The answer is simple - North Cyprus is Europe’s most lucrative, emerging property market for those who get their timing right and act quickly. Property prices are, for the moment at least, nowhere near those in the South of the island and even lower than those in other countries with similar appeal to tourists and second home owners.
The sole reason for this is the separation between the Turkish Cypriot north side of the island and the Greek Cypriot south side of the island which has existed since 1974. The partition has prevented certain aspects of growth in the North, most importantly the ability of North Cyprus to trade directly with the EU (all freight has to go via Turkey first, and only since 2004 has the Green Line Mechanism - which allows North Cyprus to export goods to the south - been in place). The fact that there are no direct flights to the North - again, all flights have to touch down in Turkey - has meant that up until the opening up of the border in the last few years the tourist trade in the North was underdeveloped compared to that in the south.
However, since tourists can now fly to the south and simply cross over into the North the tourist trade has started to grow, as have relevant property prices. Indeed, the effect that allowing tourists to cross into the North has had on property prices gives some taste as to the boom that will follow full reunification. The increase in values which ran parallel to the failed Annan plan of 2004 sets a precedent for what is happening now - prices are rising rapidly in line with the revived reunification talks taking place between Greek Cypriot Demetris Christofias and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Mehmet Ali Talat.
The International Crises Group (ICG), one of, if not the, most well respected NGO Think Tanks in the world, conveyed the overwhelming spirit - both international and domestic to the island - in their June report called “Reunifying Cyprus: The Best Chance Yet.” In addition, in the organisation’s latest 12 page monthly report, CrisesWatch September, Cyprus is now listed as a Conflict Resolution Opportunity, a striking step forward which represents the shift in will that followed Christofias’ election victory in February.
Directories as we know can be used to increase link popularity and get your site indexed . But directory submmission can also hurt .
Here are a few things to remember when submitting to directories.
1. The number of directories you are submitting to .
If it is Over 50 , then it may create suspicion that you are using some sort of software to boost your link popularity .
“Sites with high PR” are on a regular visit by search engines than “others”.
Their text , links etc. are all taken into account faster. The higher the PR , the more it is noted.
Submission to many at the same time triggers this . Even if you submitted to 100 and only 20 approved and displayed your link in one day , 20 the second day and 20 again on third day , 60 links in three days could trigger this . Plus the second day you will submit to another 100 . Calculate it.
I personally seek and prefer submitting to new directories because they are “gradually” indexed and your link is not crowded between another 40 links. Today or tomorrow the page will pick a PR.
2. The text displayed in link .
Even if you are getting 20 links everyday let’s say naturally , then it is sure that people are using different text in their links. When submitting to directories , have a set of titles like “html editor” , “SSS12 html editor”, “html editor with features”, “Feature rich html editor”, etc.
Each is different but each has your keywords. This reduces chances of penalty.
On a side note that is a very tough keyword and I am not in SERP’s for that.
3. Submit to only directories which you think do not use BH tech.
If you hire a firm to manage directory submission for you , then most have a list of quality directories . Softwares are only collection of any found .
May be when a directory was added to a software , it was good but you don’t know what happenned later .Couldn’t say if it linked to a bad site and dropped it’s PR or got penalised.
Fine if penalised because now you know it is linking to a bad neighbour but if it dropped PR , you will still think that this a good directory. You don’t know it was better but now suffers a penalty. You will only see a PR. ( Google PR : A reflection of a good site ).
Good Directory submmission firms I think would know that because they are on a regular visit to directories and would note the drop in PR.
No problem submitting to a directory like this but what if you are asked to have a reciprocal link ???
And most old directories ask for that. New ones don’t because they want to have a database first.
New sites of people who know a little seo will pick PR anyway and the link is one way!

This will mean that you have to list a great number of links yourself but if you have a lot of useful links on your links page, you can actually help your site visitors, and make your website credible.
If you have a useful website with lots of links, and with other people linking back to you, you can get more people to visit your site, and keep up a good stream of Internet traffic. You can be famous in no time, right?
Reciprocal linking can help boost your Internet popularity, true, but only if done correctly. With more webmasters concerned with popularity rather than content, however, reciprocal linking with as many people as possible may actually be more to your detriment than benefit.
Why is this so?
1. Some sites do not have consistently good content
Sure, you link to many websites, and have them link back to you, but just how good are these websites?
If the website that links to you does not get updated, or does not have good content, chances are, they won’t be getting any visitors, and you won’t be getting any from them. And if your website links to them, and your visitors go to their site, do you think they’ll love you for linking them to a useless site? Even your site will lose visitors if your link partners don’t have good content.
Think: quality over quantity when choosing link partners. But with the Internet changing every day, how sure are you that your link partners can be with you for the long term?
2. Some sites don’t display links properly.
Sadly, some sites will not even display your link at all, despite their promise. And even if they do, your link will not be prominent enough for visitors to see it and visit your site.
So how can you check if your affiliates are displaying your link? All you have to do is visit their website at least once every month a tall order if you’re thinking of reciprocal linking with at least a hundred sites to get word out on you.
3. Some sites look for link partners, not visitors
Some sites are designed in such a way that they become famous because they have many link partners but not enough content to help visitors out. Sometimes, what results are link partners visiting each other’s sites and closing their club around their circle of websites.
What happens to your site, then? It gets a lot of visits from your link partners, who already know about you.
4. Some sites do not have well organized links pages
In an effort to boost popularity, some webmasters can be reckless and simply list all their affiliate sites on their links page. Their random collection can give visitors a headache.
If sites, including yours, have categorized links, they will attract more traffic and increase the site’s popularity naturally. Again, sadly, this is not true for most sites on the Internet, and reciprocal linking with them will befuddle more than benefit visitors.
So how can you avoid these pitfalls? Visit your link partners regularly, and choose a few good ones firsthand.
Most importantly, rely on other methods to get word out on your website. Besides, you’ll never know who you’re linking with.
